This year, the University of Waterloo has seven positions in the worldwide ranking, but remains seventh in Canada. The University of Waterloo ranked 166th in the worldwide rankings in 2021, performing well in the employer reputation indicator, where it places 85th worldwide.  The university has three campuses established in 1956 and is a member of this group organisation of the U15.

After dropping four places, this year, McMaster University is ranked 144th in the global universities rankings. McMaster University is ranked at 83rd place in the world by the international faculty indicator. The University is in Hamilton, Ontario and is famous for its excellent school of medicine.

The University of Alberta ranks 119th this year and has dropped six places. There are 40,000 students at the University of Alberta and comprises four campuses. In the worldwide faculty indicator, it gets its best score.
