The Dutch Government Scholarships Orange knowledge Program is a fully funded scholarship. The goal of this scholarship is to encourage the growth of the capacity, knowledge and success of both individuals and organizations in the fields of higher education and vocational education and training, as well as in other areas linked to key topics in different countries. The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) entered a new process on 1 July 2017 as a new initiative under the name of the Orange Awareness Programme (OKP). The goal of the Orange Awareness Program (OKP) is to contribute to the sustainable, equitable growth of a community and to the improvement of a global village. OKP scholarships are open for International students to mid-career professionals in specific countries. 

OKP is developed and a fully funded scholarship by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. For a Bachelor’s class, the Netherlands provides scholarships for full-time Masters Degree programs as well as for short-term courses. At numerous participating Dutch universities, there are a wide number of Masters’ Degree and Short Course areas. The length of the master’s degree program is approximately 12 to 24 months and the duration of the short courses is approximately 2 to 12 weeks.   • The foreign students must be from the countries listed above. 
  • A legitimate identification card is kept by the scholarship recipient. 
  • The candidate for a scholarship has been accepted to the course or program for which 
  • He/she is asking for an OKP scholarship. 
  • To be enrolled into a Master’s Degree program, you must hold a Bachelors Degree.

Application Procedure for Netherlands Government Scholarship 2021-22

To use the Netherlands Government Scholarship, please follow the following step-by-step application procedure: 

(1) Consider an eligible course or master’s degree for a scholarship. Eligible courses can be found in the www.studyfinder.nl research program index, stating in the search criteria: ‘OKP qualified: yes’.

(2) Contact the Dutch institution of higher education providing the course for information on: 

  • Content of the Course. 
  • Deadline for the scholarship submission (deadlines can differ per Dutch institution). 
  • The qualification and screening processes for the scholarship. 
  • The online application form and the necessary documentation for the application.

(3) Prepare the application and the required documents.    

(4) Through the Dutch institution offering the course, apply your online application.
